Who is responsible
This website is operated by SmartCo Engineering & Industrial Solutions ("SmartCo"). SmartCo decides how the information sent through the website is used. You can reach us using the phone numbers and contact form on the contact page.
What we collect
When you send a quote request, contact message or international enquiry, we receive the details you enter:
- your name and company;
- your email address and/or phone number;
- your country and, if you give it, the city or site location;
- the project information you choose to share, such as the product or model, quantity, flow, head, fluid, pipe length and diameter, rental duration and your message;
- any files you attach (PDF, JPG or PNG).
With each enquiry the website also records the page it was sent from, the language, the time of your consent and your browser type. Your IP address is not stored; a one-way coded version of it is kept so that repeated automated submissions can be identified.
Why we use it
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, review your requirements, prepare quotations and follow up on the resulting discussion. We do not use it for unrelated marketing and we do not sell it.
Who receives it
Enquiries are stored in the website's database and sent by email to SmartCo's sales team. If you give an email address, you receive an automatic acknowledgement with your enquiry reference. Attachments are kept in private storage and can only be opened by authorised SmartCo staff. The website's hosting provider and email service provider process this information on SmartCo's behalf to run these services.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to respond to you, manage any resulting quotation or order and meet SmartCo's record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete an enquiry that is no longer needed.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses a session cookie and a security cookie that are needed for the forms to work. These do not track you across other websites.
If analytics is switched on, the website asks for your permission before loading Google Analytics. Analytics is loaded only after you accept, and your choice is remembered in your browser. Analytics helps us see which pages are useful; enquiry details and contact information are never sent to it. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link in the footer.
If advertising measurement is switched on, the same permission also covers the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). It records which pages are viewed and when an enquiry or WhatsApp order is sent, so SmartCo can measure its adverts. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and the content of enquiries are never sent to Meta, and it is not loaded unless you accept. Meta's own privacy policy applies to the information it receives.
Your requests
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Send your request through the contact page or by phone, and tell us the enquiry reference if you have one. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Changes
We will update this page if the way the website handles information changes.
